oh past I eat you up
like frozen guava
stilled water
a night of nurture
and spooky fixations
on oh past
at my throat
you lurk with
gripping hands
and softer sensations
alarming me
to a present haste
a present tense
a finer taste
Oh past
Minimum of one dose of poetry a day for one year proves to keep all ailments of psychological and spiritual nature at bay. Dr. Melai

Morning Slippers
there came a day when I walked in and out
and the blessings of the wind
carried me further than I had ever imagined
It spoke of every crumb that passed into my mouth
and digested its way down
to the belly of fire
within my heart
it flamed and wandered so aimlessly
that the whole of my existence
became a 3 dimensional mat
and I wondered so hard
of something that was not here
and eventually
over time
all of a sudden
it was here
in front of me
and I could not hold it
or touch it
but it touched me regardless
and held me regardless

after midnight princesses:
pine
for a new bed
to turn over
red in passage
of blushing questions
a queen sized
beauty rest
plucked
of old stains
& ripe roses
it will clear itself
as a new bed
is delivered

Hands Together Hands Apart
These words speak nothing close to what I wish for...
Skipping over
My hands
They write
Many hands
They write
Many hands
Write where
We go
Riding together
Many hands
We write together
In unison
Many hands
Ride together in unison
We write
In unison
My hands
In unison
We ride
Together
In unison
We write
And write
And write
In unison
Many hands
Ride together
In unison
Ride alone
Skipping over
My hands
They write
Many hands
They write
Many hands
Write where
We go
Riding together
Many hands
We write together
In unison
Many hands
Ride together in unison
We write
In unison
My hands
In unison
We ride
Together
In unison
We write
And write
And write
In unison
Many hands
Ride together
In unison
Ride alone

The Monarch
I'm in a car with 2 others
male and female
A large Monarch butterfly flies onto the windshield!
It is huge and beautiful! It's body is big!
It has a beak like a weapon!
The beak falls off... it is soft underneath.
My window is slightly open and it tries to get in...
I am in awe and slightly fearful of this Monarch because I don't know it's intentions.
The man in my car punches it in the face and I am appalled!
-----
The Monarch body is in a white cloth bag.
It's been beaten and is lying on the ground...
I take the bag and begin to caress it's body - furry and colorful - giving it life and love.
It's body is warm...
It is coming to life...

Complex Reflection
A gentle breeze
enters morning
in her complex
where pools are
gated and calm
crystal clear and
surprisingly shallow
ENTER MORNING
2 doctors leave
this complex
where sick people live
Rest, they say
We need rest.
EXIT MORNING
to quicken their step
she dives into
a shallow pool
her cry for help
drives away the doctors
they seek rest
from the complex
where sick people live
Where is the beauty in my words?
SHE ENTERS MOURNING
HER WORDS ARE DEAD
Her car hidden
behind a tree
Her favorite place
to park
Please don't ask if it's allowed to be there.
She wishes not to be moved
GOOD MORNING!
GOOD MOURNING!
HERE
they are tired
they want to take a break
from her complex
where pools are
gated and calm
crystal clear and
surprisingly shallow
HEAR

Boomerang
I bubbled with determination to meet love's words.
That determination melted into my forehead releasing pressure fumes that intoxicated my sorrows to sleep.
As they traveled through my body of being, I traveled closer to the breath of Truth, embraced by a heartbeat I once thought was mine.
But soon realized it was the beat of the world- ALL worlds - ONE world - YOUR world - OUR world.
I felt shakey with pinholes tempting tears to vaporize my heart into the atmosphere and embrace all of you so NEAR and FAR. Just an innocent longing. Elmo said it, so can I.
I sunk into an aisle of dreams and confession- drifted and woke in a daze of little nudges of priced time trying to furrow my brow.
But the intoxication of the WORD fume LOVE fume kept me strictly in embrace and I let it.
I looked around startling myself with acknowledgement of the multitude of complex planets revolving with each other as in dance and I began to fall in love with each.
That one in our solar path awaiting a next call in line and a partner to return. That one full of feeling, of love, capable of worlds within world. How beautiful my heartbreak!
That one working so hard, with a female professionalism, mask of competence and a vein of motherhood and strength. Oh she can be tender to love and feel all worlds as I do! I'm in love.
That young planet boy, development immersed in curiousity, freshness, and raw emotion, hidden emotion- oh how you will suprise yourself as I suprise myself. You feel all too! Don't deny it!
All you stranger planets so close to me my heart- if you ever knew that our worlds are as one and I love you knowing we know not of each other, except in the deepest reveal and bareness of void. We see in the dark that our love is stronger than any of those nudges of self-conscious culprits carried on our shoulder whispering numb smoke of across our hearts and our eyes.
I was so startled to find You- once again in my breath and beat.
